- I used Flipaclip to draw out these animations, following very roughly how the timing might be currently.
- I then used Premiere Pro to combine these clips to create the animatic.
- I sped up the timing slightly in premiere pro as I found that it went to slow.
Feedback From Sir:
- story is there but connection of emotion is not there
- blending 2d 3d stopmotion aniamtion - korean aniamtion early 2000s / flow and the making of the animation
- storyline is there but still flat - show emotion, subtle but not so direct portray of action / hinting + metaphors
- no depth, position of chracters, ex frame 1
- vanishing point and perspective is solid
- ex. something dropping and starts to get blurry = faints / transitioning into xxxx
- a certain sound/light/action/anything that reollects/trigger the trauma
- mixing up shots to build up the story
- include the title in the animation (start/end)
- anything that triggers/recollects his fear, even small things like smoking, light flickerings, stove etc
- depth of field, motion blur, etc
- composition, setups -> final ending climax ****

REFLECTION
Making the animatics was a lengthy process and I had to really visualize how the entire animation would be and how it would transition as well. The timing was the most difficult part but I think I could do better in terms of timing. based on sir's feedback which helped us tremendously, I could make further improvements and learn new ways to create the animation to make the final product the best I could ever create. I think for the animatics, I could have added new ways to make the transitions and sir has taught me many ways in class that I cant wait to try out in the animation.
