Figure 1.4
Base(25/11/24)
  • I made the base by using a plane and extruding it to the visible width, then selected the planes that needed to be further extruded separately.

Pillars(25/11/24)
  • Starting with the pillars at the bottom of the temple to pinpoint just how big I should make the main part.

Figure 1.6
temple base(25/11/24)
  • Using a plane and extruding it, I selected the areas with a gate and further extruded them.
  • Once I had finalized the gate's positions, I created the peepholes in between.

Stairs(25/11/24)

  • I added the starts by simply using the extrude tool consistently and for the side bearings, I used another separate object and then connected bevel edges in the end.

    Windows and doors(29/11/24)

  • Using a cube, I simply adjusted and added small details from the reference into the cube for windows and doors.

    Roof(29/11/24)

    • The roof was slightly more complicated as the same was a little irregular and I wasn't used to this type of deformed shapes
    • i made 2 cubes and then adjusted them to create more of a triangle shape but kept the four-point bottom
    • I tried the shape it into the reference as much as possible.

    REFLECTION

the theme-based modeling assignment was a challenging yet rewarding experience. Using a temple as my reference, I focused on capturing its intricate architectural details, which proved to be both inspiring and demanding. The most frustrating part was modeling the roof—I had to redo it multiple times to achieve the desired look and structure. The process was extremely time-consuming, requiring patience and problem-solving as I worked through each element of the design. Despite the challenges, I learned a great deal along the way, from refining my modeling techniques to better understanding the importance of planning and precision. In the end, I was proud of the final result, and the experience reinforced the idea that perseverance and adaptability are key to tackling complex projects.
